2012 - 2014 Women's Group
2012-2014 Group Events
March 9, 2013: A visit by 18 of our parishioners to the Monastery of Holy Assumption in Calistoga. An informative day trip to see the OCA Women's monastery that is so close to us. Mother Melania has been the retreat speaker for several of the Antiochian women's retreats and is the author of several children's books. The Monastery Trip was scheduled as a day trip only, although there was the optional choice of an overnight trip: going up Friday night and spending the night in a nearby hotel for those interested in that. For more information on the Monastery: http://www.holyassumptionmonastery.com/

2012-2014 Women's Group Goal and Focus
It is our goal to reevaluate and refocus. Based on reviewing the Antiochian Women Membership Handbook we realize that over the years Ss Peter & Paul’s Women’s group has become distracted and bogged down by the busyness of our assumed responsibilities and as a result has strayed from the mandated mission of the Antiochian Archdiocese.
One of our goals is to truly include every woman in our parish as we are all called to be members by our personal acceptance of the charge “take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it” (Col 4:17).

"The goal of reading is the application, in our lives, of what we read. Not to learn it by heart, but to take it to heart. Not to practice using our tongues, but to be able to receive the tongues of fire and to live the mysteries of God." -- Elder Paisios the Athonite
